Side by Side Trial - Anaerobic Digesters

Waste Type: Fats, oils and grease (FOG) in Anaerobic Digesters

Problem: A municipality in Pennsylvania running a 13 mgd oxygen activated sludge system was having problems in their treatment plant. Gas production was low, and the anaerobic digesters had lost their efficiency. The plant needed a product that would work to combat the FOG buildup in the digesters.

The Test: Working under a tight budget, the operator needed a product that would work. He decided to put our bugs to the test.

A 60 day side-by-side trial was conducted in the plant's two digesters. Digester #1 was fed 1½ lbs of B220 a day. Digester #2 was used as a control, with no product added.

BIOBUGS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ACCEPTABLE PLANT AND A GREAT RUNNING PLANT!

Results: After the trial period was over, the plant was satisfied with their results. They found far better methane production in the digester treated with BIO-SYSTEMS B120 than in the control.
