Plant Cuts Energy Usage

A small town in Northwestern Connecticut is saving at least $800.00 monthly on its electric bills using BIO-SYSTEMS' Products.

The 325,000 gallon per day plant, managed by operator John Xxxxxxx, saves electricity now by operating on just one of two aeration tanks. "These management practices would not have been possible before March 1992, following three months use of BIO-SYSTEMS BIOBUG^® AS culture", he said.

Starting with a dosage of one-half pound daily of BIO-SYSTEMS BIOBUG^® AS to his plant's aeration tanks, Mr. Xxxxxxx is now able to keep solids low with just one ounce per day. His advice to operators, "Don't overdose these products, or you'll get foaming."

Statistics for quality of plant effluent show improvement over the same period one year ago. Without treatment, Mr. Xxxxxxxx is now experimenting to reduce his frequency of sludge pump-out shipments for additional cost savings.
