BIOBUG® ME contains a specially formulated range of adapted high performance microorganisms. BIOBUG® ME was developed for use in the biological wastewater treatment of refinery and petrochemical wastes in a marine environment. The BIOBUG® ME product also contains a complete micronutrient blend for microbial growth in all conditions. This is particularly important for industrial waste waters.
The bacteria contained in BIOBUG® ME, are capable of producing a complex of cellulases, hemicellulases, amylases and lipases that provide the capacity to degrade extra cellular polymers (which cause foaming)and improve floc formation.
